Positions
Volunteers are what make this race happen. Without YOU, we would not be able to host this race – YOU ARE THE BACKBONE OF THIS EVENT. We all know that volunteering can often be a lot of hard work, long hours, and in our case an early morning! It takes special people to take time out of their hectic lives and busy weekends to lend a helping hand. We thank you! Our goal is to make volunteering at our event FUN so that people will come back each year to volunteer again. It works – because people keep coming back. As our race continues to grow, our need for volunteers grows with it. That’s why we need you!
We have several volunteer positions available to choose from. Volunteers can choose from the following positions:
- Race Kit package prep
- Race Kit pick up
- Course Set Up
- Course Tear Down
- Start/Finish Line Crew
- Course Marshall (Locations Leg1, Leg2 | Volunteer Information)
What you get
We appreciate your time and enthusiasm as a volunteer for our event. We could not host this event without people like you. We have heard many stories about how volunteers helped our participants with their words of encouragement or friendly smiles or unbridled enthusiasm. Of course, we wouldn’t dream of letting you leave empty handed! Why should the runners get all the perks?
We also will provide our volunteers with a special volunteer gift which is different every year.
If you don’t receive your gift at your volunteer area, be sure to visit our volunteer tent after you are done to pick it up! We don’t want you to leave empty handed.
